Special Events magazine announced the nominees for the 2017 Gala Awards, the oldest and most prestigious award in events. The magazine receives entries from countries worldwide, this year receiving applications from 8 different countries. The nominees were chosen by members of the Special Events Advisory Board and the winners will be named at a gala celebration on Jan. 12 at The Special Event in Long Beach, Calif. Mugwump Productions three-day event the "Nature of Success" has been nominated for the "Best Multiple-Day Incentive Event."

Event planning and décor services were provided for a three-day Annual Member Conference at the Ritz Carlton hotel in Amelia Island, Florida. The theme, “Nature of Success,” incorporated a different aspect of nature every day. Day one was the Amazon Rainforest, day two was Under the Sea, and day three was Climate Change. The main goal was to maintain a professional environment while creating an attractive atmosphere for food, entertainment, and activities that would appeal to both children and adults.
